Nemesis Martial Arts & Fitness was founded in the early 2000s by Peter Felix, a 5th Degree Black Belt and the former undefeated European & British Champion.

The long-established club is dedicated to providing high-quality Martial Arts training to Berkshire residents. Utilising various traditional and modern Martial Arts skills, they teach their students an effective form of self-defence. Believing strongly in the benefits of training young people in Martial Arts, they provide them with a structured environment and foster mutual respect for both themselves and their fellow students.

Nemesis Martial Arts & Fitness continue to grow their family-orientated club by offering the very best support, advice and training to all of their students. In January this year the much- anticipated Nemesis Fight Club, was launched. This is a dedicated invitation only class running from 10am to 12pm on Saturday. This has been a twelve- month project, where not only the students who show aptitude train, but where anyone with the courage to compete is given the chance to train alongside dedicated and experienced fight team members. The success so far in this year that the whole fight team has enjoyed, has been inspirational, and with a 25 strong fight team, ageing from 6 to 59 years old, there is sure to be many more champions made this year. 

What can you expect?

All classes start with a warmup program, where students are given cardiovascular exercises along with stretching and fun, strength exercises. Following the warmup, the rest of the lesson is spent teaching kickboxing techniques, shadow sparring, pad work, sparring drills, Karate drills and traditional Karate Katas so that students understand all aspects of their chosen arts.

Many of their children progress on to the adult classes and stay with the club well into adulthood, and, the friendly environment of Nemesis means that they always have several family groups training together.

With classes running in various locations across Reading including Shinfield (Saturdays), Lower Earley (Wednesdays and at Rivermead (Mondays), their junior classes start from 4 through to 16 years old. Adult classes start from the age of 16 and are open to both men and women.
