With words that bounce, rhythms that roll and characters that leap straight off the page, Dr. Seuss didn’t just write books. He created worlds. Worlds where cats wear hats (The Cat in the Hat), eggs turn green, and every child feels invited to join in.

For generations, his stories have turned “I don’t like reading” into “Just one more page, please.” In a world of screens and scrolling, his message feels more important than ever. Reading isn’t something you have to do. It’s something you get to do.

From the moment his tall, red and white-striped hat appears, Sally and her brother know that the Cat in the Hat is the funniest, most mischievous cat they have ever met. With the trickiest of tricks and craziest of ideas, he turns a rainy afternoon into an amazing adventure. The show is a lively first theatre experience for young children, plus families can stay afterwards to meet the Cat in the Hat in person!
